Sensational pop rock artists Hall and Oates and Train are bringing their signature sounds to the Xfinity Center!
Hall and Oates is a duo composed of Daryl Hall (vocals, guitars, keyboards) and John Oates (vocals, guitars, bass) who first met each other at the Adelphi Ballroom in Philadelphia in 1967. At the time, they both were leading their respective bands (Daryl with The Temptones and John with The Masters). They were in the ballroom for a band competition when a gun fight broke out between two rival gangs and they both ran to the same elevator to escape. They soon found out they shared the same tastes in music, were attending the same university, and eventually became roommates. They decided to work together as musicians in 1970 and got their name from one of the apartments they shared that had ‘Hall and Oates’ written on the mailbox. While their 1972 debut album (Whole Oats) did not chart, their 1973 follow-up release (Abandoned Luncheonette) hit #33 on the US Billboard 200 and was certified platinum in the US. They went on to have a stellar career with 18 studio albums, 11 live albums, 27 compilation albums, 63 singles, and they've been inducted into both the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
